Cheryl Scott, Meteorologist from NBC5 will host the Good Shepherd Center “Swing into Spring” Fashion Show on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from noon to 4:00 PM at Georgios Banquets, 8800 West 159th Street in Orland Park. This event features clothing for women, men, & children modeled by the children from Good Shepherd, Gina Hampton, wife of Chicago Bear Dan Hampton, and Cheryl Scott. Fashions featured are from All About Me, The Children’s Place, White House/Black Market, Chico’s, Kluger Furs, Kimberly Bond Boutique, My Sister & Me, Z Boutique, Bachrach and more. The auction will feature a variety of items including gift certificates, entertainment, sports, and housewares. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children under 12 which includes lunch, dessert, the silent auction, raffles and give-a-ways. Tables of 10 are available. The Good Shepherd Center Strong Children ~ Strong Communities Conference has been developed to provide parents, childcare workers and educators with needed educational and support information that targets topical issues regarding children with and without developmental disabilities. The goal of the program is to assist caregivers in becoming more aware of current issues and raise their confidence in their ability to face these challenges.
