Our community is embraced by those who posses this seemingly super-human ability to draw strength from immeasurable opposition. Heroes can be disguised as a loving parent, a caring teacher, a friendly neighbor or a charismatic friend. These are the people in our lives upon whom we can rely and are ready at a moment's notice to come to the rescue of others. The true beauty lies in the fact that everyone is equipped to become a hero - it's a matter of whether or they have the courage to act that allows them to be defined as such. Heroes need neither costumes nor recognition to stand out, for a hero remains committed to the cause that motivated them to take action regardless of the circumstances. A hero defines inspiration.
The philanthropic industry is filled with tremendous stories of struggle, perseverance and super-human abilities - all features of CNP Heroes. In April of 2008, Chicago Non-Profit began identifying some of the people whose super-human powers have rescued, comforted and/or inspired others. Below are some of the people who are referred to as heroes by our non-profit community:

As a result of the inspiration provided by the heroes in the charitable community, Chicago Non-Profit is asking for your help. Please contact CNP to nominate your own hero. Click here to Contact Us and nominate a Hero.
