The South-East Asia Center is looking for volunteers to teach English or citizenship to adult refugees and immigrants from South-East Asian countries. No prior experience is needed, as we will provide you with Adult Literacy Tutoring training. Tutors should have great command of the English language, patience, and desire to help our students. Once your training is complete, our coordinator will pair you up with an adult learner and help you get started with lesson planning and learning materials. This is a wonderful opportunity to help refugees and immigrants adjust to their new lives in Chicago.
