CHAI is a 501(c) (3) charity and is the largest Haitian charity organization in Illinois. Founded in 1991, the organization is dedicated to assisting the poor children in Haiti. CHAI’s main areas of concentration are in education and medical care. These efforts are accomplished through building houses and schools, maintaining a health clinic, rewarding medical scholarships, and coordinating an annual medical mission trip.
