Canine Companions for Independence

CNP Free Member Since Jan 23, 2012

Canine Companions for Independence is a national non-profit organization that enhances the lives of adults and children with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Volunteer puppy raisers provide the initial training and socialization of the pups, prior to their six months of advanced training with Canine Companions professional instructors. The assistance dogs we breed and train are provided free of charge to those in need. Individuals are needed in the greater Chicago area to help raise awareness and funding, become volunteer puppy raisers or assist with special events.
