Established in 2007, this collaboration of musicians was created to give St. Laurence HS students an outlet for their musical abilities outside of a Marching/Jazz Band setting. The STL Rock Club provides the students with “studio” space so that drummers, guitarists, bassists, singers, & anyone with any other musical talent can practice. Practices are conducted in a professional & organized environment, within an atmosphere of respect for all involved, regardless of their musical preferences & abilities. Students are split by genres of music, then grouped together to form bands which then practice songs designated by each other. The ultimate goal for the Rock Club is to prepare musicians to play in a “live” setting, with the culminating event being a rock n’ roll show held at St. Laurence. This years concert will take place on Saturday, May 21st.
