Career Development, Training and Employment Services (CDTES) is an employment program designed to promote economic independence and self-sufficiency for low-income individuals by identifying and eliminating barriers by providing services specifically designed to address their individual needs and concerns. These services include job readiness training, skills assessments, financial and computer literacy, resume and interview workshops and more. Trainings are also available for those seeking employment in specific industries. CDTES is an initiative of the historic Chicago Area Project. Clients that seek-out the help of CDTES receive food stamps and are often recommended to our program by the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS).
