On Wednesday, April 4 at 4:30pm, in Grant Park, Companies That Care is holding the Inaugural "March to College" 5K Walk benefiting AIM High. The purpose of the March is to motivate college attendance among underprivileged, school-age, minority youth. Research has repeatedly shown that one of the biggest reasons low-income, minority students don’t go to college is because they never felt it was expected it of them. The March to College will change that. Each year, student walkers will receive a t-shirt that says “College Bound” until one year, they matriculate to the T-shirt that says “In College,” and eventually earn the right to wear the “College Graduate” t-shirt.
